Writers Group To Launch New Writers Association American Writers Fellowship To Forge New Direction As Association for Writers Writers Group To Launch New Writers Association
American Fork, Utah--April 16, 2003--Officials at Media Partners llc announced today that The American Writers Fellowship will take a new direction, becoming an association dedicated to promoting writers and their works to publishing houses and magazines.
"Thus far the "fellowship" has concentrated its efforts on our awards program, the Quill and Pen, for authors and publishers." explains Randy Jernigan, celebrity journalist and founder of the program. "Now we want to expand our operations. By forming an association of writers and publishers I think we can be of greater help to our members."
The new American Writers Fellowship will focus its attention on spacific areas that, thus far, is of greatest interest to writers.
"We will continue the Awards program," says Jernigan. "the change in the program now will be that only members will be eligible to win. Past winners have included Dean Koontz for "One Door Away From Heaven" and Hilda Gurley Highgate for "Saphire's Grave." We'll also have an authors services page where members can shop their talents as editors, writers, and book professionals to writers and companies in need of their talents. Members will also have their own biography and contact page. And a unique feature of the association for its members will be our P.R. capabilities." explains Jernigan, "Our parent company, Media Partners llc, promotes books and authors world-wide and we will be using our p.r. specialist to promote our authors and their works to the publishing world. We'll also be introducing an online magazine for AWF members that will also promote our members works, as well as news from the writing and publishing world." says Jernigan.
"I think this new association will be a boon for any writer, or publisher looking for talent," says Walter Baran, of the Fox News Channel. "The most appealing aspect of this type of association is that the struggling writer and his talent can be seen by the big-wigs in the major publishing houses and magazines. I wish the Writers Fellowship had been around when i was getting started in the business." says Baran.
"We're excited about this launch," says Chris Wright, the Writers Fellowship creative director. "We've been working on the program now for a couple of years and we think that it will be unique and offer the writer, either published or unpublished, exactly what they need to get started in their career."
The launch date of The American Writers Fellowship Association is July 31, 2003. Membership dues are $29.95 yearly and all genre's of writing will be represented by the fellowship. For more information about the American Writers Fellowship Association email us at randy@mediapartnersllc.com
