LAS VEGAS HOSTS MAJOR ACTING SEMINAR ON MAY 3rd & 4th. Veteran Hollywood Star Offers Intensive Workshop For Actors and Aspiring Actors

Women In Film/LV, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, announced today that Hollywood actor Bo Svenson will conduct a 2-day acting workshop on May 3rd & 4th, 2003 in Las Vegas at the Tuscany Hotel. Acting For Film And Television" is an intensive 2-day workshop designed to bring out and magnify each actors unique personality traits to make their performances more powerful than ever. The workshop is sponsored by Women In Film, Michael Wiese Productions, and Fiercely Independent Films.

"Thousands of actors live in the Las Vegas valley, and this is an incredible opportunity to learn the craft from an industry veteran," said Barry Green, VP of Women In Film. While there are many acting teachers and coaches, its rare to find a course taught by someone with this much experience. Bo Svenson has appeared in over 45 feature films. The fact that hes also an accomplished independent film director means that hes able to teach with years of experience on both sides of the camera," adds Green.

The workshop brings participants face to face with Svenson, in front of the camera. Svenson takes participants through performances and records them, and then works with each participant individually to find each persons inner strength and unique talents. Then, as a veteran actor and director, he teaches how to bring those unique qualities to the forefront and amplify them to give powerful performances. He then videotapes the participant after the instruction, showing the improvement in a tangible way.

Over the course of the two days, Svenson will teach:

·    STARDOM -- strictly a matter of Personality" (the hook")

·    Requirements for success in Hollywood

·    How to find your Hook" and maximize your personality on camera

·    Inside the casting process -- what casting directors are looking for, and how to make sure that you give it to them

·    How to package yourself

·    How to audition and knock them dead!

As a speaker at the recent Independent Cinema Expo, Bo Svenson was so popular that weve offered to bring him back for a full seminar on his own," said Green. Hes dynamic, funny, witty, charismatic, and has such a wealth of experience. This is a rare chance to learn from a former Hollywood A-list star, and Women In Film is proud to offer this seminar as part of our ongoing mission to educate, support, and enhance opportunities for Las Vegas residents to further their careers in film and television."

On-camera participants receive a videotape of their before-and-after performances. Lower-cost tickets for observers are available as well. Complete details about the workshop can be seen on the website www.icexpo.com.
