NYC-based performance artist Ed Shepp releases first full-length pop song over internet

New York performance artist Ed Shepp released his first full-length pop song this week on his internet site. The new song expands his spoken word repetoire and places him in the nascent electro-clash genre

Self-described 'sound sculptor' and New York City blogger Ed Shepp released his first full-length pop song over his audio site this week. The song, entitled Party Xone, is a high-energy dance number that combines electronic instruments, digital processing and fun sound effects into a piece more than worthy of its name. Its ironic, avant-garde sensibility places it squarely in the nascent 'electro-clash' genre, a movement from New York City that has been associated with such artists as Fischerspooner and Peaches.

This new single marks a widening of Ed Shepp's previously mostly-spoken word focus, and hints at the promise of greater things to come.
