Barcelona (PRWEB) June 2003 -- SoftClan e-cryptor is an easy-to-use encryption program that allows the user to send self-decrypting e-mails as well as encrypt files and folders. The recipient of these encrypted e-mails does not need to have any additional software to decrypt the message.

Thanks to using powerful 128-Bit encryption - Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), RSA MD5 Algorithm and the new SAID (Senders Authentification ID) e-cryptor offers a high security level.

The new update to SoftClan e-cryptor v1.7 now offers full support for Drag-and-Drop operations. Files and folders can now be dragged from Windows Explorer or from the desktop and dropped on the list of files-to-encrypt in the Files" tab. Full support, too, for copying and pasting files and folders through the Windows clipboard using the Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V commands.

Other new features include:

· Users can easily use their existing e-mail programs address book.

· Prompt for password confirmation before the encryption password is used.

· Shortcuts (.LNK files) can optionally be converted to the files they refer to when adding files and/or folders.

· Automatic filtering of zero-length files when adding files and/or folders.

· Enhancements to the list of files-to-encrypt in the Files" tab.

· Enhancements to the list of encrypted files in envelopes".

All registered users of SoftClan e-cryptor can download the new Version 1.7 for free from www.e-cryptor.com. There is no need to uninstall the existing version nor re-register.
