HooWooNetwork Opens Early to Help People Deal With Terrorist Attacks
BECKET, Mass. (Sept. 22, 2001) -- As rescue workers and cleanup crews continue working around the clock at the World Trade Center and Pentagon disaster sites, people all over the United States are still trying to work through their shock and grief over last weeks vicious terrorist attacks. To help them do that, HooWooNetwork (http://www.hoowoonetwork.com) has launched early, opening its People & Relationships Channel and making a psychologist available to those affected by the tragedy.
Starting today, Dr. Jackie Black, Ph.D., a Personal and Relationship Coach and HooWooNetworks resident people and relationships expert, will conduct a question and answer forum focusing on the grief and trauma people around the world are feeling. Site visitors can also e-mail Dr. Black at info@drjackieblack.com with their questions and she will post her answers in her HooWooNetwork column.
Although the rest of the HooWooNetwork is still in pre-launch phase, we felt it was important to help the victims of the attacks -- along with their friends, families, loved ones and anyone else who is hurting over it -- in whatever way we could," said HooWooNetwork founder Rhonda Gregory. So many people everywhere are still reeling from the attacks, apprehensive about the future, and wondering how to talk to their children about such senseless violence. Dr. Black has generously volunteered her time to try to make this period a little easier for everyone."
If Dr. Black receives a substantial amount of questions, Gregory plans to set up a teleconference so those who need support can talk directly with Dr. Black. The teleconference will be free; callers will pay only for the long distance call.
HooWooNetwork has also opened its News Channel with contact information related to the terrorist attacks and to help visitors stay informed about breaking news, and the networks Safety Channel and Mens Channel columnists have posted their columns about September 11, 2001. Many other channels currently feature resources and information.
