Overhaul Reinvent, Rebuild and Remake Yourself (GCI Press), releasing to bookstores nationwide this month, is an intensive program for a complete head-to-toe renovation. The book's format combines Kris' unique philosophy of self-reinvention with his amazing body rebuilding program, and concludes with his wife, Angela's hair and skin makeover tips, giving one the magic formula needed to transform into a more confident, fit, attractive and successful person.

"Unintentionally, the book turned out to be the perfect model for a TV reality series," says Kris Gebhardt, "Something I never thought of until I was approached with the idea".

One of the really unique aspects of the show concept is found in Kris himself. Twenty years ago, he was the "poster boy for overweight and washed up." With no special training or advanced education, and armed only with the desire to change, Kris developed his winning formula and discovered the key to turn it all around. Using the principles he outlines in his book Overhaul, Kris shed 70 lb., completely rebuilt his body and reinvented himself as a confident, fit and successful individual.

The general format for the show: Contestants would be chosen from photos and written applications. Selected contestants will participate in a once in a life time head-to-toe Overhaul renovation. The project is in the early development stages, sponsors are being lined up, and the couple is looking for a director and shopping the networks.
