New Service Offers Family Safe Email, Parental Control

Families can feel a lot safer about their email, thanks to "Picomail", a service with the ease of use of popular web-based email services. "Picomail" is an email service with the ease of use of Hotmail or AOL's email services, but with built-in features previously available only with corporate email services. Picomail allows a parent to establish a tolerance level for what sort of email may go directly to a child's address. Anything exceeding that level is automatically delivered to the parent, who may delete it or place it in the child's mailbox depending on the content.

Since all filtering is done at the server, nothing needs to be installed on the home PC, and it doesn't matter whether the child looks at email at home or elsewhere.

The SPAM and virus filters are among the best in the industry. They are fully managed at the server, with constant updates to deal with the ever-changing threat.
