The webcast, titled Using Technology to Manage the General Ledger Account Reconciliation Function," will be held on Tuesday, November 30, at 2:00 pm CST. Heather Lynds, Managing Director at Assurity Technologies, Inc., will provide an introduction to this new class of technology by explaining the impact that Sarbanes-Oxley is having on the need for stronger general ledger account reconciliation controls. Ms. Lynds will present empirical evidence on the historical disclosures of weaknesses in the account reconciliation control and will discuss the remediation options available to affected firms.
The webcast will close with a brief demonstration of GL Recon ICS, the process management system for the general ledger account reconciliation function developed and marketed by Assurity Technologies, Inc.
