IVAA Selects City Of Houston To Host 2005 Annual Conference

The International Virtual Assistants Association (IVAA) is pleased to announce that Houston, Texas has been chosen to host the 2005 Best Practices Summit. The Summit will be held from October 19th through the 22nd, 2005.

(PRWEB) January 6, 2005 -- Houston was selected due to its favorable climate, value, and accessibility to a large group of active IVAA members who live and work in the great state Texas," stated Andrea Cannavina, Co-Chair of the 2005 Summit Committee. Having our Summit in October provides ample time for attendees to implement procedures and strategies taught at the conference before year end," Cannavina added.

After the decision to hold the Summit in Houston was made, a Request for Proposal was sent out to many of Houstons hotels and venues. We are pleased to state that the Hyatt Regency of Houston was able to not only meet, but exceed our needs," stated Kim Barnes Jefferson, Summit Committee Co-Chair. She continues, The Hyatt Regency will be providing the meeting rooms, food service and sleeping accommodations we need to have a productive and enjoyable Summit."

Summit 2005 attendees will have access to workshops and presentations designed to expand their skills and practices, provide education on the various methods and means used in our new industry and network with other VAs. Free time will be spent enjoying downtown Houston and local nearby attractions.

Virtual Assistants are a rapidly growing segment of the home-based workforce, composed of professionals who work remotely to provide administrative, creative, technical and/or consulting services.

The International Virtual Assistants Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education of its members and development of the virtual assistance industry. IVAA provides the industrys only Certified Virtual Assistant (CVA) exam, a Certified Real Estate Support Specialist (CRESS) exam, and an EthicsChecked exam. Currently IVAA has more than 600 members, 7% of the membership currently live in Texas.
