Dr. Randy Mitchmore, DDS Holds Whitening Weekend" Saturday May 21st To Support Domestic Violence Survivors All Proceeds To Benefit Give Back A Smile" Charity. Houstonian Randy R. Mitchmore, DDS will hold Whitening Weekend", a teeth whitening event where ALL proceeds will be contributed to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry® (AACD) Give Back A Smile Program (GBAS) , Saturday May 21st from 9:00 am -- 2:00 pm at 1722 West Alabama. Mitchmore regularly volunteers his services to GBAS, a program designed to heal the effects of domestic violence by providing free consultation and dental treatment to restore the smiles of survivors.

Houston TX (PRWEB) April 17, 2005 -- Houstonian Randy R. Mitchmore, DDS will hold Whitening Weekend", a teeth whitening event where ALL proceeds will be contributed to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry® (AACD) Give Back A Smile Program (GBAS) , Saturday May 21st from 9:00 am -- 2:00 pm at 1722 West Alabama. Mitchmore regularly volunteers his services to GBAS, a program designed to heal the effects of domestic violence by providing free consultation and dental treatment to restore the smiles of survivors.

With the support of Ultradent and Discus Dental, GBAS has established a new program to help raise funds for the foundation by having volunteers provide whitening treatments to their patients for a donation to GBAS. Mitchmore has generously agreed to donate all proceeds of his whitening event to the program.

With more than 5 million people affected by domestic violence in America each year, AACD dentist like Mitchmore provide a valuable service to their communities. By correcting the dental damage caused by abuse, survivors not only regain a smile but self esteem and ultimately rejuvenated lives.

The GBAS program began in May of 1999. Since then, more than 850 AACD dentists, lab technicians, and other dental professionals have volunteered their time and expertise pro bono for the program. Since its inception, 280 domestic abuse cases have been completed for a total dollar value of over 1.8 million dollars. There are currently 169 applicants that are being treated throughout the United States.
