PristinePlanet.com recently made significant enhancements to their Web site to make it even easier for consumers to find environmentally sound products and services, as well as member organizations. Specifically, the fully searchable Web site now boasts product thumbnails and an RSS newsfeed. In other news, members of the PristinePlanet.com staff attended the Earth Day Festival in Poway, California, where they helped to get the word out to the many people attending the event.

(PRWEB) April 26, 2005 -- PristinePlanet.com recently made significant enhancements to their Web site to make it even easier for consumers to find environmentally sound products and services, as well as member organizations. Specifically, the fully searchable Web site now boasts product thumbnails and an RSS newsfeed. In other news, members of the PristinePlanet.com staff attended the Earth Day Festival in Poway, California, where they helped to get the word out to the many people attending the event.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then being able to see a picture of a product can be priceless to the prospective shopper. To this end, the PristinePlanet.com Web site now features small images (commonly referred to as "thumbnails") of the eco-friendly products offered by the site's members. These helpful visual cues can be found on all of the product pages on the site. The images are in full color, and are as varied as the unique products themselves.

Furthermore, the Web site now features a link to an RSS newsfeed, which currently has lead-ins and links to all of the articles within the popular PristinePlanet.com newsletter, going back to 2004, when the newsletter was first launched. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is essentially a file format that allows newsreaders to pull together news items from various Web sites, and save the user time in capturing the news that interests them the most. More newsfeed items will be added in the future, including links to newsletter articles and other organization news. Be sure to add this newsfeed to your RSS aggregator; simply look for the red "RSS" button on the Web site's homepage.

In addition to making the Web site even more powerful, members of the PristinePlanet.com staff attended the Earth Day Festival, on 9 April 2005, at Old Poway Park, in Poway, California (in San Diego County). The team displayed a large banner reading "PristinePlanet.com - Review Your World", handed out cups of lemonade to thirsty festival visitors, and also gave out flyers featuring the Web site's homepage, printed on 100 percent recycled paper. This was the second year in a row that festival attendees had a chance to ask questions in person and learn more about what the team is doing to help make every day Earth Day.
