David Miguel Estrada's GOD, MAN, & STAN Premieres in L.A.

Playwright/Actor/Director David Miguel Estrada premieres his seventh play, GOD, MAN, & STAN in L.A.'s Theatre Row.

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) October 5, 2007 -- La Strada Productions in association with the Riant Theatre is proud to announce the world-premiere of playwright-actor-director David Miguel Estrada's "God, Man, & Stan." The play is being produced by Van Dirk Fisher, Producing/Artistic Director of the Riant Theatre. The play will be performed at the Complex Theatre in L.A.'s Theatre Row, located at 6476 Santa Monica Blvd, on October 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and the 20 and 21 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.therianttheatre.com or by calling 646-623-3488.

"God, Man, & Stan" is Estrada's seventh produced play after having six successful New York productions of his plays including "You Ain't No Johnny Cash," "My Burger With Ted," and "The Yale Diaries." Showbusiness Weekly calls Estrada "a maverick writer-actor-director." Wendy Williams of NewYorkCool.com raves, "David Miguel Estrada is multi-talented" and the Austin-American Statesman writes, "Estrada's work is engaging throughout."

Estrada, the son of an Army officer and a stage actress, is the youngest of a theatrical family that includes performer Jade Esteban Estrada (30 Rock, Graham Norton Effect) and playwright Celeste Angela Estrada (Tortilla Heaven, Pico de Gallo). All have had their plays produced in New York. Joey Reynolds of the nationally syndicated WOR Radio raves, "Don't mess with that family!" while The San Antonio Current calls them "extravagantly talented."

A graduate of the College of Santa Fe, Estrada studied under Jonathan Wacks (PowWow Highway), Chris DeVore (The Elephant Man), and Moises Kaufman (The Laramie Project). Estrada's New York directing credits include Tennessee Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire," Giovanni Affinito's "Second Sunday In May," Jen Emma Hertel's "Being," and "Icons," the touring one-man show of Jade Esteban Estrada. His acting credits include "World's Astonishing News!" and NBC's "Saturday Night Live."

The play, "God, Man, & Stan" is a cosmic comedy set in a Midtown Manhattan office. The story revolves around Guy Mann, a young man embarking on his first day on the job. Guy gets more than he bargained for when the Devil drops by incognito as a traveling salesman named Stan. The cast includes Phil Hunter, Lee Grossman, Paul James Grace, Ira Gold, Scott Servis, and Jennifer Deanne Hawkins.

Renowned theatrical Producer/Director A.M. Raychel, best known for her daring interpretations of modern classics by O'Neill, Odets, and Tennessee Williams, will produce Estrada's next stage play at the 78th Street Theatre Lab in NYC. The playwright's full-length plays, including the upcoming "Long Time Comin'," will be published in January 2008 by Desert Road Publishing.
