Hit Music I-98.3 and Wili-FM Add New Radio Broadcasting School
New radio broadcasting school offers an innovative approach to learning.
Willimantic, CT (PRWEB) March 1, 2008 -- Wili-FM(I-98.3) announces the addition of the The Eastern Connecticut Radio Academy (Ecra) to its services. The Ecra curriculum is designed to provide hands on training in the actual studio as its core foundation. This new approach is a first of its kind in the state of Connecticut.
Ecra offers a three month intensive hands on training program. Students will train at the I-98.3 studios and create and produce commercials for actual on-air broadcasts for Wili-AM & Wili-FM. Students will also have the opportunity to earn real air-time at both radio stations.
"I am thrilled to be able to offer a broadcasting school where students can actually train right here at the radio station," said Mike Merlin, I-98.3's Program Director and Ecra Founder. "In terms of hands on training and experience there is simply no equivalent to what Ecra can offer. Up until now there has never been a broadcasting school that has offered its students the opportunity to earn real air time at a commercial radio station while training. This is a huge advantage to any person interested in pursuing a career in radio broadcasting."
