Strutta Launches International Arena for Online Video
Strutta aims to honor the best in user generated competitions.
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) April 15, 2008 -- Strutta, an international arena for online video competitions, today announced the public beta launch of its website, http://www.strutta.com. Strutta brings together elements of casual gaming with the popularity of user-generated video to create the first-ever organized body for competition online.
How it works
To compete in the games, individuals upload their original performance videos in multi-player skill competitions, vying for community votes and a spot in the Strutta Finale. Representing their country, competitors can join an existing game or create a new one and challenge their friends and other players. Rather than requiring would-be players to create new videos, Strutta's unique technology enables them to easily embed their existing YouTube videos into the Strutta game of their choice. This functionality gives players with a large fan-base an opportunity to turn their viewers into Strutta judges and claim official wins.
Once two or more players have joined a game, the competition begins. Judges are allowed one vote per game, per day, plus the freedom to change their vote at any time during the day. The player with the most votes wins and may qualify for a chance to compete in the Strutta Finale.
Strutta will also allow players to embed its gaming platform in other sites and social networks, like Facebook, Bebo and MySpace, so they can compete and vote wherever their friends are.
"There is no question that sporting events and reality TV show competitions attract the largest crowds throughout the world," said Strutta founder and CEO, Danny Robinson. "Until Strutta, there has not been an organized body online to recognize and honor the most talented individuals in the world. After today, if you claim to be the best at anything but have not won a Strutta to prove it, then the answer is simple -- you're not."
Analytical Viewership tools
Feeding the innate competitive spirit in everyone, Strutta highlights winners on its dynamic, stat-filled leaderboards. In addition, Strutta's analytical tools provide players with detailed demographic, geographic and behavioral statistics about the games in which they compete to help them identify their audience. For example, players can see the regions where their video is most popular, if their content appeals primarily to males or females and how long on average their video was viewed before judges moved on to the next submission.
Are you the best?
Believing you are is only the first step. Proving that you are is what playing the game is all about. Go up against star players, Julia Allison in Best Lip Dub, NBC's LX-TV host, Shira Lazar for Best Interview or show Vancouver bartender Chris Greenfield you know how to make a better martini. Upload or embed your original videos in one of these fun games or create your own competition and challenge your peers.
