New IT Governance and Data Governance Consortium and Public Information Resource Announced

Amid a global economic meltdown and increased concerns about corporate governance, Zeba Consulting, a California consulting firm, announces the roll out of a new consortium of experts and an online public resource for Business and Information Technology professionals.

Berkeley, CA (PRWEB) October 1, 2008 -- Zeba Consulting's principal, Ravi Grewal, today announced Zeba's sponsorship and rollout of an IT Governance and Data Governance consortium of IT and Data Governance professionals. Grewal said "This space is very broad and we feel that the collaboration between niche experts in this area is badly needed."

The peer selected consortium has been coordinated by Dr. Chip Council, an expert Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Council said that ""the consortium already has 30 members including experts from specialties such as Information Security, IT Governance, Data Governance, Metadata Management, and Risk Management firms." He also said that "6 nations and 10 time zones are already represented."

The online information resource will consist of a blog, a hyperlinked and encyclopedia style knowledge-base and podcasts all free to the public. The resource will also be vendor neutral and focus on providing valuable resources to companies. The blog, opened to the public today, has already accumulated a few weeks of expert posts and is located at http://www.zebablog.com. The encyclopedia style knowledgebase is expected to be open to the public toward the beginning of November. The consortium also plans to produce podcasts and interview the various experts.
