NBC's Law and Order Keeps it Real With George Pogatsia
Law and Order, the longest-running crime series and second longest running drama series in the history of television keeps it's authentic New York appeal by shooting in the city and often using native New York actors.
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 9, 2008 -- Law and Order is the most successful brand in primetime television filmed entirely on location in New York, the realistic program looks at crime and justice from a dual perspective.
A big reason for the shows success has been its casting. Law and Order knows how to plug native New York actors into the multifaceted cases and investigations to give the show that gritty, authentic New York feel.
Since the show premiered on September 13, 1990 many native New York actors have co-starred on the show and they often come back seasons later as completely different characters.

George Pogatsia honed his craft appearing in over twenty arthouse films. His New York credits include a co-starring role on the final season of The Sopranos in Christopher Moltisante's slasher film Cleaver. He was featured on a Hollywood Squares New York special highlighting up and coming actors.
Pogatsia's screenplay The Pizza Tapes, which he plans to star in, is slated to begin production in mid 2009. The Pizza Tapes uses pre-conceptions of Italian-Americans and African-Americans along with familiar circumstances to a comedic effect by showing what happens when a popular Brooklyn pizzeria is mysteriously placed under surveillance. Several recognizable actors have expressed interest in participating in the project.
George Pogatsia is the cousin of late Golden-Globe nominated actor Gregory Rozakis.
