The Award, given out once a year by Florida attorney and radio show host Mike Papantonio, is named for Clarence Darrow, best known for his stalwart defense of schoolteacher John Scopes during the Scopes Monkey Trial. It is given to lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional courage and conviction in the face of adversity.
