Capgemini Government Solutions Awarded Three Prime Department of Defense Health Affairs Contracts
Awards include ERP, DCoE Psychological Health/TBI Conference Planning and Logistical Support, Strategy, Plans, and Program Facilitation Contracts
Herndon, VA (PRWEB) November 17, 2008 -- Department of Defense (DoD) Health Affairs (HA) has awarded Capgemini Government Solutions LLC ("Capgemini GS"), a member of the Capgemini Group, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, three primary contracts, for a combined value of $22 million, to provide comprehensive support and services for a variety of programs. Capgemini GS has built a robust team to deliver healthcare and service improvements, while leading the way in transformation for Wounded Warrior care.
These most recent awards will provide DoD the full range of collaborative Program Management, Strategic Planning, and Enterprise Resource Planning advisory services for the next three to five years. Together with its teaming partners - Experient, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Capital City Technologies - Capgemini GS will provide Strategic Planning and Program Management Services as well as Conference and Logistical Support at the Defense Centers of Excellence Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE PH/TBI). Capgemini GS will also work with TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) to assess Federal Financial System standards.
At DoD HA (contract valued at $11.7 million for one year plus a four-year option), Capgemini GS and Experient will provide the full spectrum of collaborative, logistical support, professional services, and conference planning. The team will specifically focus on facilitating and arranging programs for the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCOE PH/TBI). Capgemini GS will bring its collaborative Program Management approach, while Experient will provide significant marketing, branding and promotion experience, having created, designed and produced all aspects of conference planning and facilitation for over 50 conferences and meetings for other domain-specific federal clients.
The Capgemini GS-PricewaterhouseCoopers team (contract valued at $9.1m for one year plus a four year option) will provide proven collaborative Strategic Planning and Program Management support capabilities in addition to innovative methodologies for DCOE PH/TBI. The Capgemini GS's team will offer services that include Strategic Program and Task Management support, Strategic Schedule Management services, small and large group Content Management facilitation and support, Organizational Development, Change Management advisory services, staff planning, new training and orientation, and performance metric development and implementation for DCoE and the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE). Significant factors in winning this contract include Capgemini's collaborative Program Management approach and PricewaterhouseCooper's strong Strategic Planning and Program Development capability, as evidenced throughout the DCoE, DoD and commercial sectors.
At TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), Capgemini GS and Capital City Technologies will deliver DoD Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) advisory services. The contract (valued at $1.4 million over 3 years) directs the Capgemini GS-Capital City team to conduct a comprehensive compliance assessment and analysis of TMA's E-Commerce Application program. Significant factors in winning this contract was a combination of Capgemini's collaborative Program Management approach, industry recognition as a leader in ERP implementations, and significant DoD, Business Transformation, and acquisition support experience. TMA provides critical health care services to the nation's military community, leveraging E-Commerce applications as a key enabler to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial activities.
