The web delivered "short" courses are one hour in duration and designed specifically for the busy professional looking to refine their technical writing skills.

Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) December 11, 2008 -- McCulley/Cuppan announced today the launch of a new series of web-based training programs for professionals in the biopharmaceutical and life science industries. The web delivered "short" courses are one hour in duration and designed specifically for the busy professional looking to refine their technical writing skills.

"We understand that many professionals do not have the time to attend skill seminars that take them away from the workplace for the day. Additionally, most people do not find sitting in a webinar for three plus hours to be an appealing way to learn new concepts. Hence the creation of a suite of one hour webinars that focus on narrowly defined elements of scientific and regulatory writing." said Burke Johnstun, E-learning Program Manager at McCulley/Cuppan. "Our E-learning Division is developing a full suite of eight training programs we call Short Course Webinars."

About McCulley/Cuppan Short Course Webinars
McCulley/Cuppan will launch in January 2009 the first three in the series of Short Course Webinars. Each one hour webinar is directed at a specific element of scientific and regulatory writing. Detailed information on each short course can be found on the McCulley/Cuppan web site.

The initial Short Course Webinars are:

  • Writing for the Regulatory Reader 14 January, 2009
  • Managing the Message in Your Technical Report 28 January, 2009
  • How to Write Effective Technical Summaries and Executive Summaries 4 February, 2009

The webinars will each be one hour in duration and will be delivered "live" via the World Wide Web by McCulley/Cuppan facilitators. The design of each Short Course Webinar is based on the collective experience of McCulley/Cuppan consultants working the past 15 years in developing and delivering training to biopharmaceutical and medical device companies and a deep understanding of how to design web-based training to build knowledge and skills that can be readily applied in the workplace setting.

"We believe people will find these short courses to be time well spent." commented Gregory Cuppan, Managing Partner of McCulley/Cuppan LLC. "The courses are packed with an incredible amount of information and participants will find the downloadable course manuals to be exhibit-rich resources they will use time and time again." Cuppan further added, "The initial session on Writing for the Regulatory Reader is different than any other course offered on the web or in a classroom for that matter. In this session we'll share what we have learned over the years about how regulatory agency personnel engage in the task of reading large, complex documents. Anybody sitting in on this session will walk away with a good characterization of how they need to design content in their documents to support the regulatory reading style."
