Tricoci University Approved to Provide Federal Financial Aid Programs to Students

Tricoci University now able to offer Title IV aid programs, allowing more beauty school students the ability to afford TUBC's industry-leading cosmetology and esthetics programs at four of its campuses in Illinois: Chicago NW (O'Hare), Glendale Heights, Rockford and Peoria.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) December 26, 2008 -- Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, LLC (TUBC) announced that four of its six campuses have been approved to offer federal financial aid, also known as 'Title IV' programs, to those students that qualify. Two Chicago-area campuses -- Chicago NW (near O'Hare Airport) and Glendale Heights -- as well as the Rockford and Peoria campuses received indication of their Title IV status today. The approval culminates a rigorous and lengthy process that all schools seeking access to Title IV are forced to complete; for TUBC, the key steps were gaining accreditation with the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (NACCAS), and then satisfying an in-depth review by the U.S. Department of Education (ED).

"Being able to offer Title IV aid programs is a major milestone for us and, most importantly, a great thing for our students," said Brian Weed, chief executive officer of TUBC. "Federal financial aid will allow a much broader group of students to afford what we believe is the best education in the beauty industry. Graduating from TUBC is a great way to start a promising career in this dynamic and exciting industry."

Anticipating this development, TUBC has already begun to build a strong financial aid function, which will begin processing students immediately, including hosting financial aid workshops prior to the campuses' upcoming January starts. In addition to students looking to enroll in future programs, TUBC will be able to offer Title IV aid programs to most of its existing students, according to ED regulations.
