Artist Brings Excitement to Gallery Opening with a Live Painting Performance
Watch award-winning artist Jason Brammer paint live on Friday, February 20, 2009, during the opening for "Eye of the Future", his forthcoming solo exhibition at Eyeporium Gallery.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 10, 2009 -- Eyeporium Gallery presents "Eye of the Future", an exhibition and installation by award-winning, Chicago painter Jason Brammer. The show features a collection of the artist's beautifully-haunting, otherworldly paintings plus the debut of a new permanent installation piece he's created for the recently-opened gallery. The opening night of the show, February 20th from 7 to 10 p.m., will highlight painting as performance. Guests can watch Jason in action as he does a live painting that showcases his airbrushing techniques and signature photo-surrealistic style. This event is free and open to the public. A portion of the proceeds from this show will be donated to "Chicago Coalition for the Homeless", a local non-profit organization that works with people hurt by homelessness. ABOUT JASON BRAMMER:
Jason Brammer is an internationally-collected visual artist and painter based in Chicago, IL. He spends much of his time creating artwork in his Ukrainian Village studio, and participates in numerous art exhibitions and events. At many art events, including the Pilsen Art Walk, Gold Coast Art Fair, and the Bucktown Arts Fest, he has been known to captivate crowds by painting live, and has been honored with awards such as "Best of Painting" at the Wells Street Art Festival in 2008. In addition to paintings, Jason also does installations and murals. He has created mixed media, painting installations for art exhibitions as well as permanent site-specific installations for commercial spaces.
