Celebrate Santa Convention and Expo to be Filmed for Upcoming Documentary
Documentary will include portions of Convention and Parade
Gatlinburg, TN (PRWEB) March 15, 2009 -- MTV Productions, a Viacom company, will film portions of the Celebrate Santa 2009 Convention and Expo in Gatlinburg, TN, on March 16-18. The filming is part of an upcoming documentary that will appear later this year. The documentary is an independent film that will feature the history of Santa Claus and those who portray the character and venues that Santa Claus is seen in.
"We are very excited that Celebrate Santa will be featured in this upcoming MTV production," said Michael Rielly, Director of Media and Public Relations for Celebrate Santa 2009.
The upcoming film will also include portions of the Holly and Shamrock Parade. The live taping and syndicated broadcast of the Holly and Shamrock Parade will include historic photos and commentary on the legendary Santas of the past and famous parades that feature Santa Claus.
"Those participating in this unique parade will not only become a part of the most unique Saint Patrick's Day Parade ever; they will also become part of a historical event where legendary Santas such as Charles W. Howard, Jim Yellig, and others are a part of," said Phillip L. Wenz, Santa from Santa's Village and noted Santa Claus historian.
The Holly and Shamrock Parade will take place on Tuesday, March 17 in Gatlinburg, TN, and will feature Saint Patrick and Saint Nicholas as Grand Marshals.
