Paramus, NJ (PRWEB) March 18, 2009 -- Technology company makes sense of $19 billion stimulus infusion and incentive reimbursement for healthcare industry. Microwize Technology, Inc., a provider of comprehensive medical record solutions for healthcare providers, will hold a free Stimulus Package Workshop on Wednesday, March 25th at their headquarters in Paramus, NJ. The workshop, "The Practice of the Future" will focus on the rollout of the new $19 billion stimulus package and incentive reimbursement meant to promote the integration of electronic medical records (EMR's) signed into law last month by President Obama, The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, will provide for a $787 billion government infusion meant to stimulate the economy through, among other things, the creation of jobs, development of educational opportunities, the providing of tax relief measures, the establishment of energy independence, and the commitment to higher quality, affordable healthcare.

As a part of the overall stimulus package, and specific to the healthcare program, there will be $19 billion of stimulus money infused into the healthcare industry to encourage the implementation and efficient use of EMR's. It is the accepted belief by experts in the field that the use of electronic systems in lieu of traditional recordkeeping will ultimately better safeguard patients and significantly reduce healthcare costs.

Through the new stimulus package, those in the healthcare industry that implement electronic health records and use them comprehensively at the point of patient care - as well as choosing those systems that feature interoperability and clinical reporting - can qualify for a significant incentive reimbursement. The incentive provides for up to $64,000 over six years and $2-8 million in funding for hospitals. But because over half of the incentive payout will be distributed in the first two years, healthcare providers have been advised to make a move to electronic medical records as soon as possible to maximize their reimbursement.

"We understand the significance of the current stimulus package and what this investment in healthcare can mean to the overall quality of care we provide to patients," says Robert Gabriel, President and CEO of Microwize Technology, Inc. "And we believe strongly that the integration of high quality electronic systems will facilitate a positive transformation of the entire healthcare industry."

Microwize Technology's March 25th workshop will help healthcare providers understand the nuances of the new stimulus package and explore the options for immediately integrating electronic medical records into their existing operations.

"Our hope is that we, through this workshop, can better inform healthcare providers about the stimulus package and how it will affect their industry," says Gabriel. "We want to help them understand their options and what is available to them through this incentive reimbursement program."

Microwize will provide two seminar times on March 25th, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Registrants are still being accepted and those interested in attending the workshop can register online.

Microwize Technology, Inc. provides state-of-the art technology and comprehensive solutions that significantly reduce costs, provide patients control over their own healthcare experience, and allow healthcare providers to deliver a superlative standard of care.
