Houston's Leading Orthopedic Surgeon and Hand Specialist Dr. David Hildreth Once Again Named Among Top Docs by Patients and Peers

H Texas Magazine Recently Published the Top Docs List Featuring Innovators and Experts within Houston's Medical Community

Houston, TX (PRWEB) April 1, 2009 -- Responsible for training some of Houston's most talented surgeons and setting the pace in hand and upper extremity orthopedics, Dr. David Hildreth, the hand and upper extremity specialist at Richmond Bone & Joint Clinic, once again makes the list of Top Docs in Houston.

Coordinated and published by H Texas magazine, the Top Docs are selected through a nomination process comprised of both peer and patient nominations. It is the list to which many Houstonians look each year in selecting a healthcare provider.

Dr. Hildreth, who was also named to the Texas Monthly Super Doctors and nationally known Best Doctors list 2008-2009, moved to Richmond Bone & Joint Clinic from The Methodist Hospital System, where he continues to serve as an associate professor. He is also an associate professor at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

Best known for his cutting edge less invasive approach to common injuries and conditions affecting the hand, wrist and elbow, Dr. Hildreth most recently brought the Needle Aponeurotomy (NA) procedure to Houston - training under Dr. Charles Eaton, a pioneer in treating Dupuytren patients in the United States with the minimally invasive alternative for Dupuytren's Contracture.

As a specialist treating hand, wrist and elbow conditions for over 20 years and a driving force in the research and implementation of advanced minimally invasive treatments, the orthopedic community looks to Dr. Hildreth in determining the best standard of care.

"As physicians, we are obligated to find the best possible solutions for our patients. And that may not always correspond with the current standard of care," said Dr. Hildreth.

"It is the ongoing research and study of the human anatomy and medical technology that keeps the practice of medicine moving forward. I am honored that my colleagues and my patients recognize these efforts. And I'm pleased to be a contributing part of this progression," added Dr. Hildreth.

Dr. Hildreth is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with "added qualifications in surgery of the hand." He is now seeing patients at a new Sugar Land office as well as his Katy and Richmond offices.
