State & Local Law Enforcement Agencies are now eligible for funding for Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) from the Federal Government

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed into law The Recovery Act, which provides the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) with funding for grants to assist state, local, and tribal law enforcement in supporting a broad range of activities to improve the criminal justice system. Currently, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is seeking applications for grant funding under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG). Deadline for application is May 18, 2009, 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) April 28, 2009 -- Every day, Law Enforcement officers are confronted with a wide range of situations and there is a strong possibility that these officers will encounter a Sudden Cardiac Arrest victim while on duty.
