MCSE Training Guide Helps Staff Get to Grips with What the New MCSEs Mean for HR Professionals and the People They Recruit

-- Firebrand Training has launched a guide to help HR staff understand the new range of Microsoft MCSE certifications for IT professionals--

(PRWEB) April 19, 2009 -- The Accelerated Learning pioneer has broken down the qualifications replacing the MCSE in to a user-friendly handout. The guide dissects the new generation of MCSE courses into bite-size chunks, introducing the changes, breaking down the acronyms and explaining the skill level provided by each qualification. This will enable HR teams to assess CVs with the new acronyms and course titles, and ensure candidates' qualifications match specific job requirements.

The new certifications replace the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) programme, with the intent of offering a more tailored package. Recently introduced programmes include Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) and Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), which replace the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). Designed to demonstrate a range of expertise in core areas of Microsoft technology and products, some of the other courses extend to cover operational processes, operational procedures, and analysis of business problems. Each certification is related to a different type of Microsoft solution so that it is clear where a holder's expertise lies.

Thanks to the new versions of the MCSE training course, HR teams will be able to organise targeted recruitment drives as recruiting and training planning will be simplified. Firebrand Training's guide provides HR staff with an insight into what the changes mean from a hiring stance and how gaps in MCSE training skills and expertise can be identified.

"Microsoft's new MCSE qualifications bring clarity and simplify the IT qualification market. Our guide spells out the changes and offers an insight into what this means for HR teams in particular," said Rob Chapman, CEO at Firebrand Training. "In order for the benefits to be realised, recruitment teams must first understand the changes in order to be able to implement a targeted recruitment strategy."

"The introduction of the new MCSE certifications provides professionals in the IT industry with a more relevant and flexible way to showcase their skills. These offer a simple framework for those looking to study and also train staff," said Alex Keay, area sales manager, Western Europe at Microsoft.

About Firebrand Training (http://www.firebrandtraining.co.uk/courses/microsoft/mcse/vista.asp)
Firebrand Training is challenging the way in which professional training is delivered.

Firebrand Training, formerly known as The Training Camp, has pioneered Accelerated Learning courses for busy IT professionals. The organisation's innovative approach to MCSE training course delivery has led to its status as the Institute of IT Training's "IT Training Company of the Year" for three years - something no other IT Training company has achieved.

MCSE students are totally immersed in the subject matter, receiving an average of 12 hours intense tuition per day at a residential training site. Subject experts implement a range of teaching methodologies designed to fit with how we best understand and retain information during different periods in the day. Accelerated Learning is an attractive proposition for contractors, whose time commands very high premiums, and employers who need to minimise staff absence. Firebrand Training has an above average pass rate of 85% - confounding critics' claims that Accelerated Learning fails to produce results.

Firebrand Training was founded by Robert Chapman and Stefano Capaldo in Summer 2001 as The Training Camp. Stefano was a former student in the US and rated the company's approach so highly that he decided to launch a programme of courses in the UK. The organisation has since been recognised by Microsoft as a Gold Partner for Learning Solutions (MCPLS) and over 17,000 students have been trained in the UK to date. The success of the company enabled the management team to relaunch as Firebrand Training, which is focused on delivering training courses specifically designed for a European market.

Firebrand Training offers a range of courses covering all major vendors such as Microsoft (MCSE, MCP, MCSA), Cisco, Oracle, Sun, and Novell, as well as specialist certifications in the areas of security, business intelligence, project and business process management.
