Hollywood Rolls out the Red Carpet in Huntsville

Award Winning Romantic Thriller Avant-Premiere set for April 22, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.

Hollywood, CA, (PRWEB) April 19, 2009 -- Critics are calling it "the film that launches from romance to thriller," and the thrill of Hollywood is coming to Hunstville Alabama on Wednesday, April 22nd at 8:00 p.m. to launch the special red carpet avant-premiere of the award winning independent film, "Say it in Russian."

The stars of "Say it in Russian" will host a Gala 1930's style red carpet premiere with all the bells and whistles at the Carmike 10 Theater in Huntsville to kick off the film's release on May 4, 2009. The cost of a ticket is only $5. "We want people to dress up in their Hollywood best to celebrate a return to cinematic values," said Eade. "And we promise there will be no 21st Century disappointments." The red carpet will be open to anyone arriving in an antique car or dressed in a Hollywood era costume. And awards for the best costumes will be given to one "Mr. Hollywood" and "Miss Hollywood" at each venue after each showing. The stars of the film will be available to sign autographs, and speak to the public in a Q&A session.

Imperia Entertainment, independent distributor Dalton Pictures and Entertainment, and Carmike Cinemas have teamed together to bring back Hollywood's Golden Age, but not just anywhere-to the south and Midwest, two markets that the creator of the independent film series, Jerrry Dalton, thinks have been ignored by mainstream Hollywood. The film opens May 4th in 65 cities across the Midwest and South as part of Carmike Cinemas and Dalton Pictures & Entertainment's Independent Film Series. "It's entirely a grass roots effort," said Executive Producer, Kenneth Eade. "We're asking the people of the south to heed the call and bring back quality filmed entertainment by supporting the independent film movement," he added.

Critics describe the cinematic value of the film as "marvelous location work, handsomely photographed by Emmanuel Vouniozos, who makes the landscapes and locales shine even as he lends beauty to the human faces." They have hailed the acting as a "welcome appearance" by Hollywood icon Faye Dunaway, and "verteran television actor Steven Brand and the stunning Agata Gotova bring a deep passion to their performances and seem to capture the essence of young love."

Filmed in Paris, Moscow and Los Angeles, with award winning exceptional cinematography and a fully orchestrated original score by Russian Superstar Igor Nikolaev, "Say it in Russian" stars Russian actress Agata Gotova, in the lead role of the film as Daria Larina, the daughter of a rich Russian mafia oligarch played by Serbian actor Rade Serbedzija (Snatch, Shooter). Gotova's character falls in love with the American Andrew Lamont, played by actor Steven Brand (The Scorpion King,) but Andrew soon finds on a visit to Moscow that he is involved with a family that is more complicated and dangerous than he ever imagined.

"Say it in Russian" is the Winner of the Gold Palm Award for Best Feature Film and Gold Kahuna Award from the 2009 Honolulu International Film Festival, the Winner of Best Actress-Agata Gotova, from the 2009 Honolulu International Film Festival, the winner of Best Big Budget Film from the Myrtle Beach International Film Festival, the winner of a Silver World Medal from the New York Festivals 2009 International Film and Video Awards, the Winner of Best in Show from The Indie Distribution Fest, as well as the winner of The Indie Fest's Award of Excellence in Cinematography and Award of Merit for Actor Rade Serbedzija. It is the official selection for the 2009 Omaha Film Festival, the 2008 Geneva Film Festival, and the 2008 Other Venice Film Festival.
