Ansca Homes Participates In Community Outreach Project to Support America's Troops

Renowned Florida builder Ansca Homes has taken initiative this holiday season, placing donation boxes inside the Isola Bella Estates sales center, in an effort to support The Village of North Palm Beach's America Supporting Americans Adopt-a-Unit Program.

(PRWEB) October 30, 2009 -- Renowned Florida builder Ansca Homes has taken initiative this holiday season, placing donation boxes inside the Isola Bella Estates sales center, in an effort to support The Village of North Palm Beach's America Supporting Americans Adopt-a-Unit Program.

The community outreach program is designed to support and lift the spirits of our military men and women currently serving in Iraq and/or Afghanistan.

The Ansca Homes' donation drive is directly helping the Headquarters & Headquarters Company (HHC) 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Wolfhounds nicknamed the "Outlaws," the soldiers currently serving in Iraq.

"We wanted to reach out and give back to those brave soldiers who are fighting for us and for our country," said Betty Smith, sales associate of Isola Bella Estates. "The spirit of the holidays is a time for selflessness, so when we were informed of the opportunity to contribute to this great cause, we jumped on board without hesitation."

Operation Support Our Troops requests cold weather items, such as individual packages of Instant Hot Cocoa, Marshmallows, Cup-of-Soup, hand-warmers, socks and ChapStick®, along with travel-size toiletries and/or holiday cards/letters to warm the heart. Cash donations are gratefully accepted to help offset shipping costs or to purchase additional supplies for the "adopted" soldiers.

There is still time to participate. The drive will end on November 15th, and all the collections will be shipped to Iraq four days later, just in time to put a smile on the face of a heroic soul.

Since November 2006, The Village of NPB has been permitted to adopt a military unit serving in Iraq through America Supporting Americans (ASA), created to link active military units with cities in order to establish a supportive connection between soldiers and communities.

Donations can also be delivered to the Village Clerk's Office located at 501 U.S. Highway One in North Palm Beach. For more information, call (561) 841-3355 or visit Village Clerk - Adopted Military Unit.
