The PMI Fellow Award goes to...Lee R. Lambert!
The PMI Fellow Award is PMI's highest and most prestigious honor; recognizing a member who has made sustained and significant contributions to PMI and the project management profession for more than a decade.
Dublin, Ohio (PRWEB) November 4, 2009 -- Lee R. Lambert, PMP, is a jolly good "fellow"-- a PMI Fellow--that is! PMI's President and CEO, Gregory Balestrero, bestowed his organization's highest honor and most prestigious professional individual award on Mr. Lambert October 10th at the PMI Global Congress in Orlando, Florida. Lee now joins a very elite group of less than 100 PM professionals to have earned this recognition since the founding of PMI in 1969. Receiving this Award completes what is the equivalent of the "Triple Crown" of PM for Lee, having previously been named a PMI Distinguished Contributor in 1995 and Professional Development Provider of the Year in 2007.
Lee R. Lambert, PMP, founder and CEO of Lambert Consulting Group, Inc., has been an honored and distinguished member of the project management community for over 40 years. After starting his career in project management in 1968 with General Electric, Lee spent 18 years in the trenches working hands-on with project management techniques and tools during a distinguished corporate career, holding several senior level project management positions with major U.S. corporations. In 1981, Mr. Lambert was a founding member of the five person team that formulated and implemented the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP [1) Certification Program.
As a PM Consultant, Mr. Lambert has successfully implemented four Enterprise-wide project management process development and implementation assignments. As a PM Instructor, he is humorous, creative and employs an effective common-sense-based learning facilitation style that has been emphatically praised by thousands of students throughout the world. He is easily considered one of the world's most effective project management educators.
Throughout his 40-plus years in Project Management, Lee has done everything in his power to grow the practice of Project Management and to expand and strengthen the entire Project Management community. He has committed himself, and his entire organization, to providing consistent, high quality/low cost project management professional development and training (PDUs for Pennies) and has made it his mission to spread the "PM Gospel" to all who will listen.
Lee's past students have sung his praises over and over again; here are just a couple of examples from the thousands of quotes from our website:
"I have had many business and project management classes over the years. Those that I remember were all taught by Lee Lambert. His ability to pull students into the material... to engage the students is world-class. I listened... I learned...and I laughed. I enjoyed each moment and walked away better for the time I invested. To be honest, if Lee wasn't teaching I had limited interest. It wasn't that the other instructors were that bad... It's just Lee is that good! "- Jarren Ringle - Nationwide
"I wish I had not given my other courses such high marks - if they were 9's and 10's, then this was a 20!!" - IBM
"Lee is an excellent communicator. The use of humor and his real life examples help clarify the application of PM principles and makes class time fly by!" - Mike Vega-VM Consulting LLC
