New Partnership Brings Easy Web Content Management to Bay Area Business
PlanetMagpie has brought a Website Content Management System to Bay Area businesses with a Word-like editor and drag & drop pages. They've partnered with Telerik, developers of the award-winning Sitefinity CMS.
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) November 1, 2009 -- The quest for money-saving solutions in business never ends. Everyone is always on the hunt for ways to do more at a lower cost. When it came time for PlanetMagpie, a Silicon Valley IT consulting and web development company, to rebuild its own website, they found their solution halfway around the world.
And in the process, they've brought a Website Content Management System to Bay Area businesses with a Word-like editor and drag & drop pages.
The Content Management System (CMS) they found was Sitefinity. A winner of 12 asp.netPRO awards back in May, Sitefinity was developed as a way to build websites and web applications that don't take a lot of time to set up. Or add to later.
Sitefinity is developed by Telerik, a leading vendor of.NET-based development tools. Here's where the "halfway around the world" part comes in. Though they have two US offices (Texas and Massachusetts), Telerik is actually based in Bulgaria.
"Once we started our redesign of planetmagpie.com, we decided to implement Sitefinity as our CMS. And if the implementation went well, we would recommend it to our Web Development clients," said Robert Douglas, PlanetMagpie President. "The implementation went great, so we asked to partner with Telerik."
Partnership worked both ways for Telerik and PlanetMagpie. Though Telerik has over 60 service partners across the globe, there were none in the San Francisco Bay Area.
"Partnering with PlanetMagpie is a great opportunity for Telerik to provide local expertise for Sitefinity in the San Francisco Bay Area," said Martin Kirov, Sitefinity Partner Program Director at Telerik. "We are excited about this new partnership and from our experience with PlanetMagpie so far we can tell that there's great potential for collaboration in delivering exceptional web experiences."
The partnership was finalized the week of October 19th. So now Northern California has an affordable, business-class CMS available to its businesses. With local support.
"We've already begun building new clients' websites with Sitefinity," said Robert Douglas. "A lot of clients need to update their websites all the time to compete in today's market. Sitefinity is perfect for that. Even non-technical people can update it easily."
