H3C Technologies Selects OPSWAT; Endorses OESIS OK Interoperability Certification Program

Leading global supplier of IP-based products and solutions values certification to verify interoperability of customer and partner applications with H3C equipment

San Francisco, California and Hangzhou China (PRWEB) November 2, 2009 -- H3C Technologies, one of the world's leading IP technology and solution providers today announced that it has selected OPSWAT's OESIS® Framework to classify and check the health of third-party security applications. As part of this announcement, H3C has endorsed the OESIS OK Interoperability Certification Program to verify the interoperability of customer and partner applications with H3C equipment.

H3C IP security portfolio includes firewalls/VPNs, unified threat management (UTM), ISPs, application control and optimization, security management and more. H3C's Endpoint Admission Defense (EAD) network access control solution is China's widest deployed, in use by tens of thousand of terminals.

"As an innovative IP-based network architecture solutions provider, H3C aims to create maximum value for its global customers and partners by providing excellent service and quality products with a high cost-performance," said Chen Youkun, the EAD solution Director of H3C. "The OESIS OK Interoperability Certification Program helps to ensure seamless operation with H3C customer and partner solutions, which is one of the many reasons we encourage continued adoption of this standard."

"As the leader in security integration technologies, we recognize the importance of establishing interoperability between endpoint security applications and networking solutions," said Benny Czarny, president and CEO of OPSWAT, Inc. "The OESIS framework provides H3C with a way to ensure compliance, manageability and interoperability of security applications within their network."

OPSWAT's OESIS Framework is a cross platform, open development framework which enables software engineers and technology vendors to develop products that detect, classify and manage thousands of third-party software applications.

The OESIS Framework consists of software development libraries, source code, and XML files. It provides 3 major components:

  • OESIS Local - embedded libraries that enable manageability of endpoint applications
  • OESIS Monitor - a data service which monitors and reports application and definition updates
  • Update Verify - a utility which compares between OESIS Local and OESIS Monitor

Users can check the certification and interoperability status of their endpoint security applications at the OESIS OK web site: http://www.oesisok.com
