Check 'n Go Releases New Video About Debit Card Risks
Check 'n Go, a leading payday loan lender, released a new video to educate Americans about the potential risk of using a debit card. The video called The Weight of an Overdrawn Account is located on Check 'n Go's website.
Cincinnati, Ohio (PRWEB) November 2, 2009 -- Check 'n Go, a leading payday loan lender, released a new video to educate Americans about the potential risk of using a debit card. The video called The Weight of an Overdrawn Account is located on Check 'n Go's website.
The video includes facts like: the average American who uses a debit card spends $223 in overdraft fees in one year and the average overdraft fee is $27. Transaction sorting, where banks choose the order debits are deducted from an account, also plays a roll as to when an account goes in the negative.
"At Check 'n Go, one of our goals is to educate consumers about finances, and not just about payday loans. We created this video because many Americans use debit cards for everyday purchases, and don't think about things like transaction sorting. I hope this video will help families make informed financial decisions," said Michael Cammon, Vice President of e-Business for Check 'n Go Online.
Check 'n Go released Payday Loan Fees Comparison in April, which compares the fees of a payday loan to credit card late fees and bounce check fees.
