Denver, CO (PRWEB) November 4, 2009 -- Mammoth Networks has enhanced its private network and now provides voice-optimization end-to-end throughout its coverage area. Mammoth partnered with Engineer's Consulting Group to ensure Mammoth's quality of service interoperates with a number of voice and VoIP technologies, providing toll-grade quality.

Mammoth has quickly evolved into a private carrier for companies wishing to outsource their network and focus on their core business. Mammoth Partners benefit from the company's lower 48 state private-line coverage and also from Mammoth's ability to aggregate multiple technologies onto a single network.

"We've seen a large uptick in voice companies wanting someone to run their network," said Brian Worthen, CEO of Mammoth. "The fact we already have the network deployed has positioned us nicely for this market. We are an obvious partner for voice and VoIP providers."

A typical Mammoth Partner provides voice with Mammoth providing both the last mile and transport pieces, deploying connectivity with a one-source provider. Mammoth deploys these services through a combination of T1, DSL and Metro Ethernet circuits through the use of Multi-Protocol Label Switching, or MPLS.

Mammoth reached out to ECG because of their proven history and experience with voice deployment. ECG has a deep consulting and deployment history. The company is currently the preferred integration partner for Acme Packet, Taqua, Broadsoft and MetaSwitch. Prior to Lucent's acquisition of Telica, ECG was the preferred third-party installer for all Telica deployments. The company has also consulted with a wide variety of independent telcos, cable providers and VoIP providers.

"It is great to see a company like Mammoth embrace opportunities in front of them like VoIP origination and termination," said Joe Demmons of ECG. Demmons explained that vendors who enable this technology will gain the business, especially in a market where the availability of rate centers is key to winning new voice business.

Mammoth Networks is an aggregator of data services, serving fourteen Western states with their layer 2 DSL network and the lower 48 states with their private-line services. Mammoth enables its Partners by erasing the invisible lines of the telecommunications structure, and leveling the playing field for Network Providers. The privately-held company is based in Gillette, Wyoming.
