Intensi-T to Air Nationally This Week on Broadcast and Cable Channels

Las Vegas based dance music and comedy show airs nationally this week, hosted by Chicago's Mickey "Mixin' " Oliver, starring trumpeter/vocalist David Longoria

Studio City, CA (PRWEB) November 4, 2009 -- This week marks the official launch of an innovative new show available on DirecTV, the Dish Network, and 14 syndicated stations across the U.S.

Beginning Nov. 9, DJ Mickey Oliver’s Las Vegas-based weekly variety, dance and sketch comedy show, “Intensi-T” will air on various entertainment and recreation broadcast and cable channels from Chicago to Los Angeles and San Francisco to Houston. Check local and cable listings for specific channels and times.

Intensi-T is a one-hour television show featuring Oliver and about a dozen women dancers, as well as a lineup of entertainment stars from myriad genres.

The show is touted as “American Bandstand meets Saturday Night Live meets Wild on E meets the Tonight Show.”

Oliver is no newcomer to the entertainment world. Credited as being one of the creators of House music, the famed DJ is an original member of Chicago’s Hot Mix 5 on WBMX.

In honor of his contributions to the music industry, the city of Chicago recently passed a resolution to name a street after him, in the heart of the city, near Balboa Street and Michigan Avenue: Mickey Mixin Oliver Boulevard.

And, the London Observer just named Oliver one of “The 10 Most Influential DJ’s.

“It’s all very flattering,” Oliver said, adding, when asked what’s next: “There’s talk about Knighthood.”

Intensi-T was released earlier this year in a test segment and received such rave reviews and viewer approval it is sure to be a hit in its second season released in this national manner.

The second-season of the show is scheduled to begin in December with live broadcasts from the V Theater at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood. Scheduled to appear in those segments will be vocalist/trumpeter David Longoria. Longoria is best known in the dance music arena from his hit single “Deeper Love” with Cece Peniston which climbed to the top 15 of the US Billboard Dance Music chart.

Oliver is excited about the show and its second season.

“The live stage show is a theatrical concert,” he said, adding, “It’s very exciting and something to hang my hat on.”
