Anoto Group Honors Partners Delivering Valuable Digital Pen and Paper Solutions with the 2009 Golden Pen Awards
At Annual Partner Conference, Anoto Honors Three Partners for Outstanding Contributions to Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, and Sales and Marketing
Lund, Sweden (PRWEB) November 5, 2009 -- Anoto Group, the inventor of digital pen and paper technology, presented the 2009 Golden Pen Awards at a gala event during its recent annual Anoto Partner Conference in Lund, Sweden. A jury of Anoto executives chose the recipients from submissions of dozens of Anoto partners.
Anoto CEO Anders Norling presented awards to three Anoto partners that offer digital pen solutions based on Anoto’s technology:

InfoMax was awarded the Most Satisfied Customer Golden Pen award for its work in developing a digital pen and paper prescription-ordering and medication administration record system for its customer MediSystem Pharmacy, a pharmacy-service provider for long-term care facilities. Using MediSystem’s DIGIORDER, MediSystem customers have dramatically improved the way prescriptions are recorded and filled, enhancing patient care and fulfillment accuracy while reducing costs, labor and paper use. Additionally, with the DIGIMAR system, medication orders can now automatically be checked against each patient’s medication administration record, and any discrepancies can be spotted in real time. This had previously been a cumbersome, paper-based solution that failed to provide timely visibility into medication changes. Moreover, authorized personnel are now able to monitor nursing activities closely and are alerted to any previously undetected issues, resulting in better quality of care and compliance. The user-friendly solution established an industry standard that improves patient care and produces significant business growth for MediSystem.
“MediSystem was the first pharmacy in Canada to start using a digital pen and paper prescription-ordering system in a long-term care environment. Seeing how well it works, everyone is interested in it and wants to adopt the same or a similar system. Once again, MediSystem is setting the norm in the industry,” said Henry Leung, VP of IT at MediSystem.
“Winning the Golden Pen is a tremendous honor for InfoMax, and we are very proud of the work we did for MediSystem and the benefits it provides to its customers,” said Ambrose Au, president and co-founder of InfoMax. “Anoto has been an invaluable partner to InfoMax and we look forward to working together as we bring the benefits of digital pen and paper to additional customers in new and exciting markets.”
Sweden’s XMS Penvision, a longtime Anoto partner, was awarded the Most Innovative Solution award for its Formidable platform, which allows its customers to easily create digital pen and paper applications in just hours. The jury selected XMS Penvision for excellence in solving its customers’ technical and business pains while advancing their solution “beyond expectation.”
"We are delighted and proud to receive the Golden Pen award from Anoto again. We want to dedicate this award to our enthusiastic worldwide partner network that built a market together with us based on Formidable. If they are successful, we are successful," said Daniel Segui, co-founder of XMS Penvision
DevelopIQ, a United Kingdom-based developer of digital pen and paper solutions for Blackberry, was presented with the Most Valuable Sales and Marketing Partner award for building strong relations with important partners and together spreading the awareness of Anoto Digital Pen and Paper, efforts that are paying off through excellent sales this year.
Commenting on the award, Robert Bakewell, commercial director for DevelopIQ, said “We are delighted that the hard work of our staff and our partners, both in the UK and overseas, has been recognized by Anoto. The sales of our PaperIQ digital pen products have been fantastic this year, particularly in the public sector. We truly believe that Anoto’s technology has come of age and the efficiencies that it offers organizations, both small and large, are more compelling than ever before.”
“The Golden Pen Awards are a highlight of Anoto’s Partner Conference and a way for us to recognize some of the truly great work our partners are doing to further the usage of digital pen and paper,” said Anders Norling, CEO of Anoto AB. “We value the individual work and contributions of every one of our partners, and we are proud to specially honor these three that have set the standard for customer satisfaction, innovation and evangelism of our technology.”
