Tavares, FL (PRWEB) November 7, 2009 -- Arianna Beyer, a Freshman at Tavares High School, has been selected as one of the top student clarinetists in the State of Florida and is scheduled to perform with the 9-10th Grade All State Orchestra at the 2010 Florida Music Educators’ Clinic-Conference January 6-10, 2010 in Tampa, FL.
Students from all over the State who play musical instruments audition in September each year for a chance to win one of only a few spots in either the Orchestra, or Concert Band. For each instrument there are hundreds of student competitors seeking to secure just a few seats. For the Orchestra and Jazz ensembles, wind players contend for up to five seats per instrument. Arianna received the top clarinet seat for Orchestra.
Achievement at a high level is not new for Arianna. Since she began playing her clarinet in the sixth grade she has been awarded 9 Superior ratings at the Florida Band Members Association District 19 Music Performance Assessment. Arianna has also played lead roles in community theatre including the leads for Annie in the musical Annie Jr. and Sharpay in High School Musical. Arianna graduated from Eustis Middle School where she maintained the highest GPA for three years and played 1st chair tenor saxophone in the award winning Eustis Middle School Mustang Jazz Band.
Arianna is also involved in many community out-reach events including helping with the Mount Dora Rotary, the Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce, volunteering for leadership positions at her church, Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Eustis, and with disabled children at Lake Hills School in Eustis. Arianna also organized an essay contest for the orphans at Christian Home and Bible School in Mount Dora and from the submissions chose the winner to whom she gave a brand new bike she (Arianna) had won by herself winning an essay contest sponsored by the D.A.R.E. program.
Arianna will represent Florida in the summer of 2010 to travel internationally with an International Jazz Band from Blue Lake Fine Arts International Exchange program. Her tour will last approximately three weeks and include approximately six to seven communities in two to four different countries. Her Jazz Band will also perform a short mini-tour within the Midwest United States.
Arianna will perform with the Tavares High School Concert Band @ 7:00 pm Tuesday November 10, 2009 at the school auditorium under the direction of Mr. Jeremy Langford. The Veteran’s Day concert of patriotic music will feature a multi-media presentation to honor those who have served and are serving our Country. Admission is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
