CompTIA Managed Services Summit Provided Channel Executives a Unique Business Opportunity
Three companies honored with best of show awards
Oakbrook Terrace, IL (Vocus/PRWEB ) October 30, 2008 -- Senior-level executives from top managed services providers, value-added resellers, technology solutions providers, manufacturers, and distributors converged in Miami earlier this month for the Computing Technology Industry Association's Managed Services Summit, CompTIA announced today.
Almost 200 IT solutions providers who participated in this three-day event took advantage of informative sessions, workshops and networking opportunities, providing them with practical tools, valuable contacts and take-away materials which they were able to implement immediately in their businesses. General session and concurrent workshop topics addressed IT spending trends for small and mid-sized businesses, virtualization, profitability and best practices and experiences, among other topics.
The keynote address titled "CompTIA Security Trustmark™: Everything You Wanted to Know…and More" revealed how the Trustmark™ program can act as a competitive differentiator for solution providers soliciting end- user business; enable organizations to meet compliance governance; and promote strategic business partnerships as well as other useful tips.
"The Summit was a great success, the energy was excellent, attendees were engaged and there was a sense of optimism even with most regions of the country facing a struggling economy," said Todd Thibodeaux, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA.
Thibodeaux presented Best of Show awards during the Managed Services Summit Awards Dinner. More than 20 companies who took part in a networking event at the Solutions Pavilion were nominated for an award; the winners were then selected by solutions provider attendees.
itControl Suite, a company which provides IT service providers with a comprehensive set of tools and capabilities for remote management and service delivery to client network systems, was the big winner of the evening, taking home four awards:

The Best Distribution and Support award went to SYNNEX Corporation, the leading business process services company, servicing resellers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in regions around the world.
