"I want them (people) to get a good feel for what the bands (during the) Westchester days have been like - a good root of what this band is about that other albums can build on and grow from," excitedly states GI Dave, the group's vocalist and guitarist. "I want it to be a starting point, a first look at our world we are building ... the world of ideas with accompanying sounds!"
The vivacious collection is filled with a slew of daring punk rock records that have funky bass lines and witty lyricism including singles "At The Mall," "J. Edgar Hoover" and "Right Wing Girl."
While The Genuine Imitations are sincere with their music, the band is also a couple of pranksters. "It's just silly because there isn't 22 songs and none of them are about Hamsters," Dave says. "Hamster sounds like hipster. Also that's just us being nutty!"
No hamsters were hurt in the recording of this album.
