Jenzabar® Upgrades Jenzabar EX to Support a More Collaborative Working Environment

New Environment in Administrative System Is Designed to Help Institutions of Higher Education Better Achieve Operational Excellence.

Boston, MA (Vocus/PRWEB ) March 26, 2009 -- Jenzabar, Inc., a leading provider of software, services and strategies for higher education, has announced today a comprehensive new release of Jenzabar EX, an enterprise resource planning system, which includes significant enhancements designed to support a more collaborative working environment and help institutions of higher education achieve operational excellence. Jenzabar EX Release 3.0 contains numerous updates within the Purchasing, Registration, and Common modules and Financial Aid Manager, as well as improvements to the Development and Admissions modules.

The Jenzabar EX 3.0 Purchasing module has been extensively redesigned, offering new requisition capabilities and a personalized and collaborative environment to provide streamlined workflow for module managers, approvers, requesters, and purchasing agents. Easier access to view finances, automatic line item separation for each approver, a personalized notification alert system to monitor requisition status, and embedded e-mail links available throughout the requisition lifecycle will allow staff to expedite work more efficiently. In addition, users can now access Microsoft® Outlook®, Excel®, Sybase® InfoMaker®, and the Web directly from Jenzabar EX.

Within the Purchasing module in Jenzabar EX 3.0, a new personalized navigation window called "My Workspace" has also been added to provide a customizable and interactive user interface and enable users to collaborate with co-workers and achieve tasks more effectively. My Workspace provides quicker access to daily activities, reports, personalized links to Web pages, documents, and favorites windows. Purchasing module managers will be able to set up their own to-do lists and create tasks for all users, resulting in a more collaborative environment.

Numerous enhancements within other Jenzabar EX modules, including Registration, Admissions, and Development, have been made to help client institutions increase overall productivity and raise their enrollment, retention, and advancement rates. Financial aid processing has been made easier with enhanced disbursement and adjustments reporting and additional capabilities to identify and track funds. Also, users in the Development office can now manage and track gifts more closely through increased functionality that streamlines workflows.
