Republicans 'Endorse Torture' - Madatoms.com Debuts With Topical Satire

New web 2.0 comedy site Madatoms.com debuts first video, The Republican Test.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 15, 2008 -- New web 2.0 comedy site Madatoms.com debuts first video, The Republican Test.

*The Republican Test is the first video from Madatoms.com

*USR Content is the digital studio producer of The Republican Test

*David Brooks, USR Content founder, is using his industry connections to get YouTube generation filmmakers seen by studio heads

*Nathan Bloch is the writer/directer of The Republican Test

Produced for madatoms by USR Content and written and directed by Nathan Bloch, this darkly hilarious video promotes Madatoms.com's edgy, creative and bitingly honest editorial perspective (think: Vice Magazine, Jon Stewart, The Onion).

The Republican Test is a searing satire of the current torture-endorsed, waterboarding White House administration.

Bloch is an up-and-coming writer/director recently discovered by Madatoms via Craigslist. The Republican Test is the first Madatoms video from this young filmmaker, putting him on the map and bringing his work to the attention of studio heads such as Fox Atomic's Debbie Liebling (South Park, Borat, Dodgeball) and Fox Searchlight's Peter Rice (Little Miss Sunshine, Juno).

Madatoms.com features the work of previously unknown writers, artists, photographers and filmmakers. The newbie talent is teamed with established professionals, creating a provocative online symbiosis. Studio executives and other industry insiders will be viewing the most popular Madatoms.com videos and written pieces, thus fostering a 2.0 platform for emerging filmmakers to be seen and evolve into the studio system.

Launched in beta last February, "Hilary Clinton: The Psycho Ex-Girlfriend of the Democratic Party" was the breakout Madatoms post to capture the attention of the cyber masses. Actor and active pop culture blogger Will Wheaton linked to the irreverent piece, with many more sites following suit. Madatoms gained momentum, launching its current site in July 2008.
