Coe-Truman Releases ePosters Application for Oasis Abstract Management System

New online tool offers multi-media poster process for scientific and research-based associations.

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 16, 2008 -- Software application developer Coe-Truman Technologies, Inc., announced today the release of ePosters, an online, multimedia-enabled tool for scientific, medical and technical associations. The user-friendly application, which integrates with the company's industry-leading OASIS abstract management system, allows associations to move from live "poster" sessions to a stored multimedia presentation that can be accessed and interacted with by submitters and contributors at any time, from anywhere.

"ePosters is a new online platform that allows associations an enhanced venue for making their research available to their colleagues," said Robert Eltzholtz, OASIS Product Manager.

"This is a growing trend in the association industry, and ePosters meets the demand of scientific leadership to have better ways of disseminating scientific research in a timely and accessible manner," said Eltzholtz.

The majority of scientific, technical and medical (STM) associations utilize the standard in-person poster sessions to allow association members to submit research and solicit feedback. ePosters expands the potential audience for new research presentations by putting the process online - eliminating the constraints on how much data can be presented in poster sessions, lengthening the amount of time available for feedback, and providing a forum that's available around the clock, around the world.

The tool also facilitates enhanced communication between submitters and contributors, allowing for rich, streaming audio, video and other media, and offering the ability to drill down deeper into important details of a research presentation. The tool allows for external linking and email communication, assuring direct contact between scientists and their colleagues.

ePosters was recently utilized along with the OASIS abstract management tools by the American College of Cardiology. In both spotlight kiosks and online self-service, ePosters enhanced the scientific content at the 2007 ACC Annual Scientific Session & i2 Summit.

""The program committees of the American College of Cardiology annual meetings agree: An electronic 24/7 delivery mechanism of ePosters is here to stay." said Angela Karakas, Director of Education for the ACC.
