the Digital Government Institute’s second
annual IPv6 conference and exhibition, Realizing
IPv6: Enabling Next Generation Government Solutions. During the
exhibit hours, from 7:30 a.m. EDT until 1:30 p.m. EDT, NTT America
will demonstrate how mobility works in an IPv6 network. IPv6 is a major
benefit to the growth and security of the mobile Internet, allowing many
more devices to come online, stay online and connect efficiently and
securely. In addition to Mr. Christman’s
speaking engagement and the IPv6 mobile network demonstration, NTT
America will participate as a sponsor of the conference.
Who: Cody Christman, Director of Product Engineering, Global
IP Network, NTT America, will deliver the presentation, “Transition
to IPv6: Take a Competitive Leap Forward - Lessons Learned for
Government from Commercial IPv6 Implementations,”
at 11:00 a.m. EDT until 11:30 a.m. EDT. This presentation will share
what it takes to be successful in enhancing an existing network
infrastructure to support both IPv6 and IPv4, and how to leverage
the benefits IPv6 brings to the network. Mr. Christman will
address commercial industry lessons learned and best practices for the
government transition to IPv6 and beyond, including real world
experiences in IPv6 transition and implementation; experience in
supporting both IPv4
and IPv6; what it takes to successfully implement IPv6; real world
security issues; and a review of best practices from NTT America,
operator of one of the world’s largest
commercial IPv6
networks.
Why: This second annual interactive conference and exhibition
will identify and break down real operational issues and explore the
solutions powered by the next generation Internet. Attendees will
discuss best practices, case studies, lessons learned, and technology
