Focusing Headlamp Named Technology Product of the Year

Selected from more than two dozen innovative 2008 products nominated by a wide group of FIELD & STREAM editors, the final editing panel could choose only six items. Editors concluded, "Most headlamps this powerful will give you a headache, but the H7R is lightweight and compact, and a flip of the switch trades the long-distance laser for a flood beam."
The Coast LED Lenser H7R is the first LED headlamp to combine dimming function, focusable light and a rechargeable battery into one headlamp. With 124 lumens of output and 65 hours of run time from one battery charge, the HR7 is the best headlamp for the serious outdoorsman.

LED Lenser's Advanced Focus System combines a unique lens and reflector system to provide a seamless transition from a broad flood beam to a focused spot beam with none of the dark or hot spots associated with other focusing lights. The focusing function is easy to use; simply move the small knob on the bottom of the light forward or back with one hand. Light output can also be adjusted with Variable Light Output Technology (VLT). VLT allows the user to select the perfect amount of light for their task, from full output to a dim, battery saving setting. The hinged light attachment allows for proper beam angle and the adjustable strap will fit all head sizes.
