Internet television pioneer, Pax Stereo Tv, has announced a new channel showcasing independent artists from Canada, programmed and maintained by the locals. New sexy broadcasters also fuel international expansion and continue to feed the fire.
(PRWEB) April 7, 2008 -- In a move that reveals it's indie roots and declares it's ongoing support, Pax Stereo Tv (www.paxstereo.tv) has launched a new channel devoted entirely to independent artists from Canada.
"Thanks to Jeremy Pilon, an indie artist who reached out to us at YouTube, we now have Indie Canada Tv , and it is entirely staffed by artists from Canada," says Pax Stereo CEO, Mario Hemsley.
Pilon, who was seeking advice on the launch of his own indie music label, Maent Records (www.maentrecords.ca), reached out to Mario after viewing a video on creating a music label. So impressed was the Pax Stereo CEO, that he built Indie Canada Tv and offered Pilon the helm. Since then it has been full steam ahead and no looking back.
"It doesn't take me long to recognize something special, and Jeremy definitely stood out. He was so motivated and brought a special energy." Mario likes to simply point to fate. "We just had to link our efforts in some kind of way." Mario encouraged Jeremy to take on the channel, pointing out the potential benefits to Jeremy's new label and the indie artists he wants so much to support. "I liked the idea from the beginning. Pax Stereo began as an indie music label, and artists are dear to our heart. We showcase many indie artists on our channels, and plan for a whole lot more." By serving as the Indie Canada Tv program director, Jeremy has full control over the playlist, and is encouraged to feature and promote himself and other indies as he sees fit. "We believe in putting good people in control and letting them drive the bus. Jeremy Pilon drives the Indie Canada Tv bus."
Jeremy Pilon has his roots in performing and working the clubs, and is an active member of the band Linger (linger.ca), with an upcoming product release coming soon.
