Portland Singer ISSA Selected by LL Cool J's Boomdizzle.com as a Top Finalist in "All-Star Competition" to Find the Next Great Artist

Rising Senegal-born singer/producer has been selected as a top finalist in LL Cool J's First Annual Boomdizzle All-Star Competition to discover the next great artist and is set to release his newest single, ''Won't B Da Same,'' on May 25, 2009.

Portland, OR (PRWEB) May 19, 2009 -- ISSA, the rising Senegal-born singer/producer, has been selected as a top finalist in LL Cool J's First Annual Boomdizzle All-Star Competition to discover the next great artist. Boomdizzle.com is an online community designed for artists to record, share and remix original music and video content. After reviewing an overwhelming number of submissions to the competition, Boomdizzle's panel of music legends and industry experts selected ISSA as a top finalist. The Portland, Oregon based singer was chosen from thousands of artists for his modern rendition of Phil Collins' Grammy-winning hit song, ''Another Day in Paradise''. If chosen as the grand-prize winner, ISSA will win a one-single deal and the opportunity to perform on-stage with LL Cool J.

Fans are encouraged to visit http://www.boomdizzle.com/track/another-day-in-paradise, where they can vote for ISSA and register for their chance to win two tickets to meet LL Cool J and see him perform live at the T-Mobile Grammy Celebration on May 28 in New York City. The final winner of the competition will be chosen by the fans, along with the Boomdizzle ''All-Star'' panel of judges, including LL Cool J, Marley Marl, DJ Cut Creator and the Violator management team. The winner will be announced on May 23.

Born in Dakar, Senegal, ISSA's musical style blends various genres, including R&B, pop and reggae. Since making his way to the U.S. a few years ago, his music career has been off to a promising start. In addition to playing in venues around the world, in August of 2008, ISSA was selected by BET as a Ya Heard? Break-out Artist of the Month for ''Used to Be the One,'' the first official single and video from his upcoming album ''The Rules of Attraction.'' ISSA is hoping that his winning streak will continue with the Boomdizzle All-Star Competition and give him the opportunity to make a long-term impact in the music industry by being more than just an artist. "My goal is to make a permanent dent in the music industry, and I want to become a musical bridge among continents using my diverse background," he expresses.

Encouraged by the positive buzz from music fans and industry veterans, ISSA is set to release his newest single, ''Won't B Da Same,'' which is scheduled for release as a digital download on May 25, 2009.
