The Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas Celebrate Construction Topping-Out and Planned On-Time Completion for Next Summer
The Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas celebrated building topping-out this October, signifying that construction on the highest point of the 23-story Regency-style structure is complete, and that the roof is on. The reinforced concrete structure topped out with more than 21,463 cubic yards of concrete and approximately 3,510 tons of reinforced steel.
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) October 20, 2008 -- The Tower Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas celebrated building topping-out this October, signifying that construction on the highest point of the 23-story Regency-style structure is complete, and that the roof is on. The reinforced concrete structure topped out with more than 21,463 cubic yards of concrete and approximately 3,510 tons of reinforced steel.
Executive Team Celebrates Topping-Out
A ceremony celebrating the milestone and saluting the Uptown tower's 250 workers was held at the Robert A. M. Stern-designed building and was hosted by property developer Crescent Real Estate Equities Company. Representatives from Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. included Joseph Pitchford, senior vice president; Bill Mabus, vice president, development; and Bret Creel, senior construction manager. Also in attendance were Roberto van Geenen, general manager for The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas; celebrity chef Dean Fearing, partner in the development's Fearing's Restaurant, ranked America's best new restaurant for 2007; Thomas Smyth, director of residences for The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas; and representatives from Manhattan Construction, general contractor for the project.
Concrete structural work on The Tower Residences began in fall, 2007, and building construction remains on schedule with completion planned for summer 2009. Despite the current economy, robust pre-sales of the building's 95 luxury residences have continued and even strengthened, especially since July, 2008. Only 31 residences remain available for purchase in the Tower, with the neighborhood's first phase already fully sold. The Tower Residences adjoin The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas hotel and residences via a private enclosed walkway, providing residents with convenient access to the hotel's award-winning services and amenities.
