(API) that extends the management capabilities of Planet Alpha dedicated
hosting customers. The API allows customers to integrate
functionality of The Planet’s Orbit customer portal into their own
internal systems and applications.
Customers and resellers can now extend their internal management
systems, tools and portals to automatically manage their hosted
infrastructure without manual human intervention.

Hardware Configuration: Details about various
devices hosted at The Planet can be obtained through the API, including bandwidth
utilization and hardware
device lists. Server reboots can also be requested through the API.
Ticketing: Customers can integrate Orbit ticketing
functionality into their own internal applications, including adding,
editing or retrieving tickets.
Billing: Through the API, invoices can be
integrated into customers’ internal systems and retrieved by a specific
invoice ID number or date.
