Legiant Portal Authentication allows users to access the Legiant timecard system by using their Windows login information, eliminating the need for users to memorize a separate username and password to access their time keeping system. Building on the existing ability to use Single Sign On via Active Directory authentication for non-hosted systems, this exciting new ability provides a new level of security and convenience. By adding more intuitive features to Legiant Timecard™, Legiant continues to provide small-to-midsize businesses with the most effective time and attendance software.
For clients on the Legiant SaaS hosted service, Legiant Portal Authentication allows local Active Directory authentication for Legiant Timecard access. By adding the Legiant Portal, a user can be authenticated within the local network using Microsoft Active Directory™, granted a session on Legiant Timecard through an API call, and directed to their timecard. "We developed the Legiant Portal in response to our customers who wanted to make logging in to the Legiant Timecard system easier for their employees," said Rod Crane, CTO of Legiant. For employees that may share the same workstation, the Legiant Link is also available. The Legiant Link operates in the same way as the Legiant Portal, but requires the current user to enter their Windows username and password again before accessing their timecard.
